2026-03-05 2026 Operational Test in Support of the 2030 Census Census This Test will test the viability of new and revamped systems and methods researched and developed for the census; to identify, document, and address potential challenges. Of note, Census will conduct the test in only two of its six proposed sites, will test using postal workers as enumerators, and will use the American Community Survey - rather than the decennial Census - to test self-response and will use a modified version of the ACS to test in-field enumeration. 2026-03-04 Ticket to Work Program Evaluation SSA SSA is conducting a new evaluation of the Ticket to Work Program, which is designed to increase the availability of and access to employment services for adults with disabilities receiving Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI). 2026-03-02 Medical Expenditure Panel Survey—Household Component HHS MEPS collects data on the specific health services that Americans use, how frequently they use them, the cost of these services, and how they are paid for, as well as data on the cost, scope, and breadth of health insurance held by and available to U.S. workers. HHS is making a number of changes to the MEPS, including removing questions on birth control, gender, aspirin use, and counseling; adding questions about use of sleep medication, trouble getting to sleep, screen time, use of wearable devices, self-assessed diet quality, fruit and vegetable consumption, meals eaten away from home, former smoking, and weight loss attempts; and making changes to a number of other questions. 2026-03-02 Restoring Integrity to the Issuance of Non-Domiciled Commercial Drivers Licenses (CDL) DOT This form collects State-level information regarding CLPs and CDLs that were issued to people who do not live in the US and the documentation that was provided during the application process for those non-domiciled CLPs and CLDs. The requirements for this collection were included in an Interim Final Rule that has been stayed by the DC Court of Appeals. 2026-02-27 Health Data, Technology, and Interoperability: ASTP/ONC Deregulatory Actions To Unleash Prosperity HHS This proposed rule aims to "remove duplicative and unnecessary requirements of the ONC Health IT Certification Program." To achieve this goal, HHS is removing more than half of its health IT certification criteria, changing a half dozen of the remaining criteria, and maintaining the remaining 19 criteria as is. The patient demographics criteria are being revised to remove requirements to collect sexual orientation, gender identity, name to use, and pronouns. 2026-02-26 State Unintentional Drug Overdose Reporting System (SUDORS) HHS/CDC SUDORS is designed to detect new trends in fatal unintentional drug overdoses, support targeting drug overdose prevention efforts, and assess the progress of the HHS initiative to reduce opioid misuse and overdoses. Notably, While the full Numident database contains all the information SSA receives on applications for SSNs, the designation to the Do Not Pay Working System will be limited in scope, allowing Do Not Pay users to verify only three data elements associated with a payment or award recipient under a health or income maintenance program—name, SSN, and DOB. 2026-02-23 Transparency in Coverage HHS, IRS, DOL Among many other things, this proposed rule is intended to improve the standardization, accuracy, and accessibility of public pricing disclosures from health insurance providers. New requirements include new contextual files and additional data elements like product type, network name, and enrollment counts; changing the reporting level for aggregation of data; removing in-network rates for unlikely provider-to-service mappings; increasing the reporting period and lowering the claims threshold for out-of-network historical data; and reducing the reporting cadence. It is also intended to improve the findability of publicly disclosed machine-readable files required under the Transparency in Coverage rules, including the prescription drug file, by requiring a text file and footer with website URLs and contact information for the files. 2026-02-23 Annual Survey of Jails in Indian Country DOJ/BJS This survey collects data on items like the number of inmates confined by demographic information, number of new admissions and final discharges, the average daily population (ADP) and peak population, the number of attempted suicides and deaths, the rated capacity to hold inmates, and the number of staff employed in Indian country jails. Although the listing indicates that changes are being made to the survey, supplemental documentation indicates that changes to the prior iteration of this survey will be maintained and no further changes will be made in this fielding. 2026-02-20 AmeriCorps NCCC Project Sponsor Survey CNCS This survey collects information from organizations that have sponsored an AmeriCorps NCCC team, which construct and rehabilitate low-income housing, respond to natural disasters, clean up streams, help communities develop emergency plans, and address other local needs. According to the listing, CNCS is revising the survey to remove information they "no longer need to collect." While content changes are unclear, earlier this year CNCS published a notice indicating that they were removing questions on gender identity and expression to comply with an Executive Order. LGBTQI+
